Online certification is possible for the SSI Mermaid. You can do it online, so you can work whenever and wherever you like. There are two parts to the certification: a practical part and an online portion. You can either complete the online portion from a computer or laptop. Or you can use your smartphone or tablet to take the practical section. You can download the SSI App for Android and iOS devices.
JODYPRATT
JODY PRATT (PADI Mermaid Instructor) is a certified SSI Trainer. At just 15 years old, she began her diving career. She has earned several Specialty Instructor Ratings. She loves water and takes open water classes. JODY also has a Technical Rescue Instructor Trainer certificate.
Michelle Forsbrey
A keen surfer and swimmer, Michelle Forsbrey is passionate about the water and loves the sea. Because of her love for the ocean, and her desire to be able to swim again, Michelle Forsbrey bought a Mermaid tail to help with her rehabilitation. When she wore the mermaid tail in a local hotel swimming pool, she attracted attention from children and parents alike.
Try Mermaid Experience
You've reached the right place, whether you have always wanted to be a Mermaid or just curious about the process. SSI offers a Try Mermaid opportunity that allows you swim underwater in mermaid fins. This introductory course is perfect for beginners. This course will teach how to swim safely underwater, use mermaid Fins, and hold your breath underwater. You'll get $15 toward your full certification after you complete the Try Mermaid course.
Rusty
Rusty was a New Orleans native, but he grew up in an Atchafalaya Basin small-town. It is the largest swamp in America, with 22 parishes. He has deep respect for the unique cajun culture because he has lived in the swamp. In addition to diving, Rusty enjoys cycling, underwater photography, and spending time with his family.
Niki
Niki Dawson is a successful female entrepreneur, a professional scuba instructor and a creative wedding planner. She loves to travel to different parts to dive. Micronesia is her favorite spot to dive. While she loves diving, Niki loves exploring every part of the world.
Evi
Evi is a mermaid performer and instructor who teaches mermaid tail swim. Evi's first mermaid academy opened in March 2018. Since then, hundreds of guppies have learned to swim with her tail. Evi, along with Naomi, has competed in World Mermaid Championship. Her goal is to help kids enjoy the water while being reef safe.
