The SSI Mermaid certification can be earned on the internet. It is possible to complete the certification online at any time and from anywhere. There are two parts to the certification: a practical part and an online portion. You can complete the online portion on a computer or laptop, or you can use your smartphone to take the practical part. You can download the SSI App for Android and iOS devices.
JODY PRATT
JODY PRATT has been a PADI Mermaid Instructor since 2005 and is a certified SSI Instructor Instructor Trainer. She began diving at an early age, and she has earned many Specialty Instructor Ratings. She loves the water and enjoys getting back to basics during her open water classes. JODY is also a Technical Rescue Instructor Trainee.
Michelle Forsbrey
Michelle Forsbrey, a keen surfer and swimmer is passionate about the ocean and the sea. She fell in love with the ocean and beaches, so she purchased a mermaidtail to aid her rehabilitation. She was a hit with children and adults alike when she wore the mermaidtail in a hotel pool.
Try Mermaid Experience
Whether you've always dreamed of being a mermaid or you're just curious about how the experience works, you've come to the right place. SSI offers a Try Mermaid experience, which allows you to swim under water with mermaid fins. This course is ideal for beginners. It will teach swimming underwater safely, using mermaid tail fins, holding your breath underwater, and more. Your $15 certification will be granted after you have completed the Try Mermaid course.
Rusty
Rusty was brought up in New Orleans. He grew to be a citizen of the Atchafalaya basinin. It's the largest swamp in the US, covering 22 parishes. Living in the swamp has given him a deep appreciation for the unique cajun culture. Rusty loves to dive, cycle, and spend time with his loved ones.
Niki
Niki Dawson is a successful female entrepreneur. She is also a professional instructor in scuba diving and a creative wedding coordinator. She loves to travel to different parts to dive. Micronesia (Australia), the Caribbean, Africa and the Western Pacific are some of her favourite dive spots. Niki is passionate about exploring all parts of the globe.
Evi
Evi is an instructor and performer in mermaid swimming. Her first mermaid school was opened in March 2018 and has taught hundreds of guppies to swim using her tail. Evi and Naomi competed at the World Mermaid Championship. Her goal is for children to enjoy the water and be safe around reefs.
