Scuba Diving Magazine has revealed the winners of its Readers' Choice Awards. Readers can vote for their favourite dive spots by voting for the awards. Aggressor Adventures, an Bahamas dive center, won 79 awards this year. This is a 34-award advantage over the runner up. Online voting is also available for readers to vote for their favourite dive sites and destinations.
Bonaire was ranked second in Advanced Diving.
Scuba Diving Magazine readers named Bonaire as a top Caribbean/Atlantic diving destination for fifth consecutive year. Bonaire won Best Shore Diving Destination and was also honored in the categories Best Underwater Photography (Best Visibility), and Best Advanced Diving. The November 2021 issue of the magazine will publish the winners of the readers' choice awards.
Bonaire has many bike and hiking trails that visitors can enjoy. You can even see flamingos in a national park. The island has its own water filtering system that makes tap water safe. 2016 saw the island host 114 healthy nests of turtles. This was their highest nesting season.

It is easy to get to dive sites because the fringing coral runs parallel to the island's leeward shore. Visibility can be up to 80ft/100m due to its shallowness and warmth.
