White Point dive in Los Angeles is one among the most exciting. It has white bacteria mats on its bottom and is very close to the hot springs. You will also find an old shipwreck and rock reef at the dive site. You will also see giant sea stars and urchins. High tide is the best time to dive.

Leo Carillo

Leo Carrillo is a California state park that lies along the southern coast in Los Angeles County. It is located in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area and has 1.5 miles of sandy beach that extends into Santa Monica Mountains. You will find many opportunities to dive in the clear waters off Leo Carrillo State Park.

Divers can choose three main dive sites in Leo Carrillo. These dive sites are great for beginners, with easy entry points and plenty of parking. You can also go night diving or lobster hunting at these sites, and you will find lots of marine life.

Santa Barbara Island

Santa Barbara Island boasts some of the best offshore diving sites. These dive sites can be reached by visiting boats. These dive sites are often rugged and make great hunting and photography spots. These areas also contain healthy kelp plants and purple-colored hydro coral. Moreover, the visibility here is excellent for Southern California waters.


Visitors to the island can also take part in snorkeling and kayaking. If it is dry, tent camping can be done. There is a large population pinnipeds on the island, which includes harbor seals. You can find these animals at the rock areas surrounding the sea-lion rookery. These overlooks are scattered around the island.

Anacapa Island

Anacapa Island supports a wide variety marine life. The area is home to one of the first Marine Protected Areas in the United States. The area offers diving opportunities that are both excellent for experienced and beginners. The waters around the island are relatively warm and are ideal for diving with a wetsuit. In the autumn and summer, temperatures can easily reach 70° F (21°C). However, temperatures in winter can fall as low at 50 degrees F (10 degrees Celsius). It is recommended that you use a 7mm waterproof suit. During these months, visibility is at least 100ft (30M).

Dive charter boats and Island Packers can access the Anacapa dive spot. There are many dive locations on the island. One of them is a 40-foot-tall archrock. These sites can be viewed by snorkeling gear.

Veteran's Park

Veteran's Park on Ocean Drive is a Green Space that features a playground and fields. This is a wonderful place for families to come together. It is close to beaches. You can enjoy a stunning view of the ocean at the park, especially on a sunny afternoon. It's open all year round and has lots to offer.

Parking is easy. Veteran's Park is the ideal place to begin your diving adventures if you're a beginner diver. It's easily accessible and has restrooms as well as parking. The meter will always be checked and there's an outdoor shower where you can wash your gear. There's also a changing room, but the bathrooms close at dusk.
