You can earn the SSI Mermaid certificate online. It is possible to complete the certification online at any time and from anywhere. There are two components to the certification. One is the practical part, and one is the online portion. You can complete the online portion on a computer or laptop, or you can use your smartphone to take the practical part. Both iOS and Android smartphones can use the SSI App.

JODY PRATT (PADI Mermaid Instructor) is a certified SSI Trainer. She started her diving career at a young age and has accumulated many Specialty Instructor Ratings. She is passionate about the water and loves to get back to basics in her open water classes. JODY is also a Technical Rescue Instructor Trainee.
Michelle Forsbrey
Michelle Forsbrey is an avid surfer and swimmer. She loves the ocean. She fell in love with the ocean and beaches, so she purchased a mermaidtail to aid her rehabilitation. The mermaid-tail drew attention from both children and adults when she was seen in the local hotel swimming pool.
Try Mermaid Experience
You are either a long-time mermaid dreamer or simply curious about the experience, then you're in the right place. SSI offers a Try Mermaid experience, which allows you to swim under water with mermaid fins. This course is ideal for beginners. It will teach swimming underwater safely, using mermaid tail fins, holding your breath underwater, and more. 15 dollars towards your complete certification after completing the Try Mermaid program.
Rusty
Rusty was a New Orleans native, but he grew up in an Atchafalaya Basin small-town. It is the largest US swamp, covering 22 municipalities. Rusty has a deep appreciation of the cajun culture from his time in the swamp. Rusty enjoys swimming, cycling, underwater photography and spending time at home with his family.
Niki
Niki Dawson has been a successful female entrepreneur. She loves to travel and dive in different parts. Her favorite dive spots include Micronesia, Australia, the Caribbean, Africa, and the Western Pacific. Niki is passionate about exploring all parts of the globe.
Evi
Evi is a mermaid instructor and performer who teaches mermaid tail swimming. Her first mermaid school opened in March 2018 and she has already trained hundreds of guppies to swim with her tail. Evi competed with Naomi in the World Mermaid Championship, teaching children how to swim with a Mermaid tail. Her goal? To help children enjoy the ocean while keeping them safe.
