Types of Freedive Courses

If you want to learn how to freedive, you can take a freediving course. Whether you're a professional or an amateur, there are a number of options available, and a freediving course can be just the right thing for you. There are many different freedive courses to choose from: PADI Advanced Freediver, NAUI Basic, SSI basics, and Molchanovs.

PADI Advanced Freediver Course

PADI Advanced is a great place to learn more about freediving. This course will teach you how and when to use apnea, as well as correct breathing techniques for longer diving. You'll also learn how to perform in freefall and how to rescue a freediver in the event of an emergency.

After you have successfully completed PADI Advanced Freediver, you will be eligible for the Instructor course. This is the next step in the freediving career path. This course will require you to master a static breath hold of three minutes 30 seconds and a dynamic breath hold of 70 meters. The course also teaches you how to manage buoys and ropes, mouth fill, and no-fins divers. During the course, you will have the chance to help an instructor.

NAUI Basic Freediver Course

The NAUI Basic Freediver course can be used by anyone who wants to learn how freedive and improve freediving skills. The course is four hours long and includes classroom discussion as well as pool time. This course will help you learn the fundamentals and physiology behind freediving. You will also learn proper breathing techniques and equalization to deep dive. You must be at the least 12 year old and have good swimming skills.


Before enrolling for a more advanced course in freediving, you must have at most a few years of experience. This course will provide you with the fundamentals you need and prepare you to take on more advanced training. You can then become a PADI Instructor Freediver after you have completed this course. You will be able freedive with a buddy at the pool or ocean.

SSI Basic freediver course

The SSI Freediver Basic Course will teach you the fundamental skills needed to dive in the ocean. It offers a unique combination of classroom training and in-water practice sessions. It includes two sessions in the pool and one in open water. The course ends with the SSI Basic Freediver Certification.

The SSI Basic Freediver training will allow you to swim 400 m, dive 50 m in CWT or freedive 20 meter, and then swim to the surface. This course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to dive to depths of 40 meters or more. SSI offers certification programs that can be recognized around the world. This certification allows you to dive in any ocean. The SSI Basic Dive Courses are a great way get started and to see if freediving is for you.

molchanovs freediving course

The Molchanovs freediving course will take you from beginner to competitive freediver. There are four levels for open water, and a Lap class that will help you freedive in a pool. Once you have successfully completed the Lap, you can then move on and take the Wave course. It will teach you how safely to freedive open water.

Molchanovs has developed a comprehensive freediving program with the help of some of the best freedivers in the country. It includes online and physical training. You will learn how to freedive correctly from the beginning. The instructors are the best in the field and have a passion to share their knowledge with others. After completing your course, you may continue your training online.
