Popular diving area is the Molasses Reef south. This area is home to large grouper and sharks, as well as tarpon, eels, tarpon, eagle Rays, and eagles. This dive site is located within a Sanctuary Preservation Area, so fishing is prohibited. The name Molasses Reef came from the fact that the SS Slobodna, a ship trying to transport cotton back to Europe, ran aground here.

M/V Phoenix has a camera table, freshwater showers, storage space and two dive ladders. It can hold up to 40 divers. Southpoint Divers will never take on more than 27 divers.
