To become a deep diver

snorkeling vs scuba diving

You can dive to depths not usually considered safe for deep divers. This may be due to prescribed limits set by a local authority. Additionally, you might have the opportunity to explore some the most beautiful underwater environments around the globe, including the Galapagos, Elphinstone Reef or the Blue Hole of Belize. Find out more about deep diving in these special locations.

Elphinstone Reef

A liveaboard is the best way to experience Elphinstone Reef's underwater world. In this location, you can also dive backwards. This means that you need to be comfortable in your backward roll. Early morning dives are the best time to see sharks or other marine life. You can also see more tropical fish. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to get close to the resident hawksbill turtle.

Blue Hole in Belize

The Great Blue Hole is an enormous marine sinkhole that lies off the coast Belize. This stunning diving site can be found near Lighthouse Reef. The Great Blue Hole, which measures 124m deep, and is 318m wide, covers 70.650 square meters. Deep divers can experience some of the world's most beautiful underwater scenes in this area. The Belize diving destination has a cave-like environment that deep divers will love. It is also known for its high visibility and warm water.

Galapagos

You can become a deep diver in Galapagos for a challenging but rewarding experience. Galapagos Islands have a lot of fascinating marine life. Because of this, the water is very cold and has limited visibility. The cool season (June-November) is when the water temperature is cooler and the currents are stronger. This is the best time of year to dive in the Galapagos Islands. This guide will help you decide if you are up for the challenge.

Elphinstone

For its beautiful soft corals and vibrant marine life, dive the Elphinstone Reef. This reef measures 300 metres in length and is found between twenty and forty meters deep. It is also covered with sea whips, large sponges, gogonians, and sea whips. You can find giant trevally, redtooth triggerfish, and redtooth triggerfish by dropping in to the finger-shaped plateau. A hammerhead shark is possible, but it's rare and extremely elusive. This dive site features clear water and strong drift.

Belize Blue Hole

If you've ever dreamed about diving into the Caribbean Sea deep, you will have heard of the Great Blue Hole. It is located about 62 miles away from Belize's mainland. The Blue Hole is a nearly perfect circle hole. It is located at the Lighthouse Reef, about 125 m deep. Scuba divers and snorkelers have enjoyed the beauty of its surface waters for many decades. However, very few have braved its depths.

Elphinstone and his buddy group

Elphinstone, also known by Elfinstone, is a popular boat dive site in Southern Egypt. This saltwater dive site is located in Marsa Alam and has a maximum depth of 150 feet (46 meters). The visibility ranges anywhere between 61 feet and 70 feet (19-21 meters).
