The SSI Mermaid certification can be earned on the internet. You can do it online, so you can work whenever and wherever you like. There are two parts to the certificate: a practical portion and an online part. You can complete the online portion on a computer or laptop, or you can use your smartphone to take the practical part. Both iOS and Android users can access the SSI App.
JODY PRATT
JODY PRATT (PADI Mermaid Instructor) is a certified SSI Trainer. At just 15 years old, she began her diving career. She has earned several Specialty Instructor Ratings. She is passionate about water and loves going back to basics with her open water classes. JODY also holds a Technical Rescue Instructor Trainer certification.
Michelle Forsbrey
Michelle Forsbrey enjoys swimming and surfing and is a passionate surfer. Her love of the ocean and beach inspired her to purchase a mermaid tail to use in her rehabilitation. The mermaid-tail drew attention from both children and adults when she was seen in the local hotel swimming pool.
Try Mermaid Experience
You are either a long-time mermaid dreamer or simply curious about the experience, then you're in the right place. SSI offers a Try Mermaid adventure that allows you to swim underwater with mermaid Fins. This course is designed for beginners. This course will teach you how safe to swim underwater, how to use mermaid fins and even how to hold your breath underwater. Your $15 certification will be granted after you have completed the Try Mermaid course.
Rusty
Rusty was raised in New Orleans but was born in Atchafalaya Basin. It covers 22 parishes and is the US's largest swamp. Rusty has a deep appreciation of the cajun culture from his time in the swamp. In addition to diving, Rusty enjoys cycling, underwater photography, and spending time with his family.
Niki
Niki Dawson has been a successful female entrepreneur. She enjoys traveling to different parts of the world to dive. Micronesia (Australia), the Caribbean, Africa and the Western Pacific are some of her favourite dive spots. Niki loves to travel the world, and she does enjoy diving.
Evi
Evi, a mermaid instructor/performer, teaches mermaid-tail swimming. Her first Mermaid School opened in March 2018, and hundreds of guppies have been taught how to swim with the tail. Evi and Naomi competed at the World Mermaid Championship. Her goal? To help children enjoy the ocean while keeping them safe.
