You can earn the SSI Mermaid certificate online. This allows you to complete the certification wherever and whenever you want. The certification consists of two parts: the practical and online portions. The online portion can be completed on a laptop or computer. You can also use your smartphone for the practical part. The SSI App can be downloaded for both iOS or Android devices.
JODY PRATT
JODY PRATT is a PADI Mermaid Instructor and a certified SSI Instructor Trainer. She was just 16 when she started diving and has since earned numerous Specialty Instructor Ratings. She is passionate about water and loves going back to basics with her open water classes. JODY holds a Technical Rescue Instructor Training certification.

Michelle Forsbrey loves the ocean and is a keen surfer. Because of her love for the ocean, and her desire to be able to swim again, Michelle Forsbrey bought a Mermaid tail to help with her rehabilitation. When she wore the tail in a local hotel swimming pond, she attracted the attention and admiration of children and parents.
Try Mermaid Experience
You can be anything you want, from a dream to becoming a mermaid to curiousity about how it works. SSI offers a Try Mermaid adventure that allows you to swim underwater with mermaid Fins. This is a great course for beginners. This course will teach you how safe to swim underwater, how to use mermaid fins and even how to hold your breath underwater. 15 dollars towards your complete certification after completing the Try Mermaid program.
Rusty
Rusty was raised in New Orleans but was born in Atchafalaya Basin. It is the largest US swamp and covers 22 parishes. He has deep respect for the unique cajun culture because he has lived in the swamp. Rusty loves to dive, cycle, and spend time with his loved ones.
Niki
Niki Dawson, a female entrepreneur and professional scuba instructor, is also a creative wedding planner. She loves to travel and dive in different parts. Her favorite dive spots include Micronesia, Australia, the Caribbean, Africa, and the Western Pacific. Niki is passionate about exploring all parts of the globe.
Evi
Evi is a performer and instructor of mermaid swim. Her first Mermaid School opened in March 2018, and hundreds of guppies have been taught how to swim with the tail. Evi competed with Naomi in the World Mermaid Championship, teaching children how to swim with a Mermaid tail. Evi's goal is to make the water fun and safe for reefs.
